Alex Leyland

I am a certified TÜV Functional Safety Engineer (TÜV Rhineland) specialising in Machinery.

I have over 20 years of experience in the machinery automation and safety sector and held TÜV Functional safety Engineer status for over 10 years.

The earlier part of my career was spent in the field as a product specialist for leading brands of machinery safety equipment. This has exposed me to thousands of machines in plants across all industries.

In more recent years I focused my efforts on consulting with machine builders and system integrators across many industries to risk assess machinery and provide specification, design, and validation of safety systems.

I advise also on wider CE/UKCA marking requirements for suppliers of machinery and able to deliver machinery safety training.

I have a passion for simplifying complex machine safety issues and helping clients finding compliant but pragmatic solutions.
