Amazon’s Responsible Person Service due to close

Following Amazon’s change to their “Responsible Person” dashboard and the migration to Amazon’s “Manage Your Compliance” Dashboard, Amazon are now looking to close Amazon’s Responsible Person Service on the 31st March 2023.

This will mean that all sellers selling CE marked products into the European Community will be required to have appointed a third party EU Responsible Person or Responsible Person for CE-marked products in order to continue selling their products into the EU via the Amazon platform.

An EU Responsible Person or Responsible Person for CE-marked products is responsible for holding documents on a seller’s behalf. The documents need to detail the EU Regulations and EU Directives that the product needs to comply with. An EU Responsible Person or Responsible Person for CE-marked products is also responsible for communication with the EU Market Surveillance authorities.
